The Parkland Walk

Pathfinder Walk: February 2007

Most Recent Walk: February 2007

Details:

This (relatively) short walk starts/ends at Alexandra Palace and follows the course of a disused railway, converted into a delightful nature trail passing through Highgate Wood and Queen’s Wood, ending up at Finsbury Park. But not to worry. The proposed extensions to this ramble involve continuing to Highbury Fields, Angel, Clerkenwell, and crossing the Millenium Bridge to end in front of the Tate Modern. In practice, the GURC team got as far as the wonderful Kurdish/Turkish/Iraqi restaurant, Gem, on Upper Street, ate our own body weight in grilled meats, and slunk home, replete.
