Once again my slackness cup runneth over. Or you all get up too early when you don't have to. I just wish to point out that I wasn't up all night smoking blunts, as the message you left me suggested, M. No. In fact, I was watching House, bluntfree. Till, er, 6am. Still, I see the shirker Hutch didn't make it either, and that makes me feel a little better.

To make up for said slackness, I present possibly the greatest thing ever to grace the, as you say, steamweb.

Fascinating website - when next in the capital I would like to view the site for ideas for something a little more adventurous.

Just wanted to add an alternate formulation of the Zeroeth Law which I think can be considered equaly valid as it has come from the lips of our great founding father Martin:

"A ramble is a ramble. Not a run, jog, stride, marathon, or even purposeful strut. A promenade comes quite close too."

The Gentlemen's Urbane Wrangling Club doesn't have arguments: it hosts ambulatory discussion, or pedeconferencing, if you prefer.

And I'm sure not even Kimon could approve, if his too-easily-won approval is the thrust of the pub-taste question, of the pub Martin and I found in Bellingham.

Ha! I always thought it was the Gentlemen's Urban Wrangling Club! I was wondering why we didn't have more arguments! Apart from the ongoing one about Kimon's taste in pubs of course. Anyway walking it is. Why the hell not?

Gosh, this is jolly exciting. I like the faintly olde-tyme template stylings. Sorry I didn't make the 2007 inaugural, but frankly 11.30 at wherever the hell you were meeting seemed a little ambitious. At this rate I won't manage to partake in a Ramble until the clocks go forward.

One other thing: I always thought it was the Gentlemen's Urban Ramblers Club. ;)
